Little Big Planet 3
Little Big Planet 3
Little Big Planet has been one of the most creative games for a very long time and it keeps that title with its newest release. Little Big Planet 3, a puzzle platformer, was developed by Sumo Digital and released in December of 2014. Upon release it received positive overall reviews, but also received criticism for the few technical issues the game had.
Creativity and Community
Little Big Planet 3 is a very creative and unique game. Not only is the game creative the game also inspires the players to be creative as well. The creative gamemode allows you to create your own levels and maps. With the large amount of tool and items the game gives to the player you can build almost anything from a rocketship to a stegosaurus. You can even publish your maps and creations to the Little Big Planet community for everyone to play. So if you get bored of playing the Adventure mode there are many mini games that other players have made.
The Adventure mode is the best it has ever been. With new power-ups, new characters, and new story the game is very fun to play, with a friend. While the game is very fun and the story is entertaining, but in my opinion if your not playing couch co-op then it is not as fun as it could be. The style and the feeling of the game is my favorite part. The game is very light hearted and appropriate for any age. The cartoonish art style and animations bring a certain charm you can only get while playing this game. The level design is unique to Little Big Planet, being able to jump between different layers of the map is a very unique feature for 2d platformers. The concepts for the levels in the game are very creative, in one level you have to clone yourself and feed your clones to someone to keep them happy. If that is not a creative level concept then what is?
Decision
I have a very strong opinion about Little Big Planet 3 and I hold it in high regard. However i know that to some the game is boring and the game has a few bugs here and there, but it’s creativity and uniqueness can not be denied. On a scale from one to ten i would give it a solid eight.
